Extension Services

Extension Services

Problem
Limited technical knowledge and weak extension coverage in the coffee and cocoa value chain reduce productivity and seedling survival. Many farmers and nursery operators do not receive regular guidance on agronomy, nursery management, or agroforestry.

Without structured technical support, poor practices persist and reduce the return on investment in seedlings and inputs. This weakens both farm outcomes and confidence in improved technologies.

Solution
The solution is to establish a stronger extension system that provides regular, practical, and locally relevant technical support. Qualified extension officers can bridge the gap between knowledge and implementation.

The second part of the solution is continuous training and field-based follow-up. Skills improve most effectively when classroom learning is reinforced by demonstrations, visits, and direct problem-solving support.

What we do

We provide technical support to members and farmers through training, field visits, and extension services. Our focus is on building practical capacity that improves productivity and seedling survival.

We also strengthen knowledge transfer in key areas such as nursery management, coffee agronomy, and agroforestry. This helps farmers adopt more effective and sustainable practice
