Climate Resilience
Climate Resilience
Problem
Climate stress, irregular rainfall, and environmental degradation threaten the survival and productivity of coffee and cocoa systems. Water shortages and poor soil management increase risk for both nursery operators and farmers.
Without adaptation measures, climate shocks will continue to reduce seedling survival, lower yields, and weaken livelihoods across the region.
Solution
The solution is to integrate climate-smart agriculture into nursery development and farmer support systems. This includes irrigation advocacy, agroforestry promotion, and practical adaptation measures that reduce exposure to climate risks.
The second part of the solution is awareness building and policy engagement. Farmers need training in climate adaptation, while institutions need to be engaged to support infrastructure and long-term resilience measures.
What we do
We promote climate resilience by supporting water management, tree planting, and sustainable land use practices. Our work focuses on reducing risk while improving long-term agricultural sustainability.
We also advocate for stronger government and partner support for irrigation and climate adaptation systems. This helps move resilience from isolated action to coordinated investment.
Engage MAAIF, districts, NGOs, and partners on irrigation support
Designed with advanced absorbent technology and durable fabrics, our period pants provide reliable protection, comfort, and confidence for everyday use.
Our production process prioritizes safety, sustainability, and long-term usability, ensuring each product meets hygiene standards while reducing dependence on disposable menstrual products.
Promote shade trees and agroforestry
We deliver structured education programs that improve knowledge, challenge stigma, and promote informed menstrual health practices across diverse communities.
Our approach combines evidence-based content, community engagement, and practical guidance to empower individuals with accurate information and confidence in menstrual management.
Train members and farmers on water harvesting and soil conservation
We build strategic partnerships with local organizations to expand access, strengthen support systems, and improve women’s health outcomes sustainably.
These collaborations enable coordinated interventions, resource sharing, and scalable programs that address menstrual health challenges within underserved and vulnerable populations.
Our Impact
These results improve income opportunities for members and make quality seedlings more accessible to farmers across the region.
